Simply, follow the Feng Shui tips to improve your child’s luck and to protect him from the negative energies… Here’s what you can do…

1. Sleeping Direction:

Feng Shui principles state that the condition of the room and its direction can have a strong impact on the inhabitant’s behaviour. The sleeping pattern, along with the direction a child sleeps in can influence him majorly. When a child sleeps with his head pointed in any of the wrong directions, then he can be impacted by severe negative effects, especially on his academics. What’s worse is that his bond with his siblings may also get affected.

What you can do:

While designing a child’s room, make sure there is no solid beam on the wall or any sort of beam of light falling on your child’s head while he is resting on the bed. If there’s any, then you need to immediately change the position of the bed. The child’s bed should have its headboard against a solid wall, also it is advisable to leave enough space to walk around on each side of the bed. Ideally, you must not push the bed at one side up against the wall. Never ever, electronics should never be stored or charged near a child’s bed. This emanates superb negative energy, hence it’s a strict no.  It is ideal to avoid placing the bed under a window or directly in line with the door. To check the energy inflow, you can try this out: Stand in the doorway and throw a ball so that it hits directly at the bed. Same way, the energy will approach the bed and bounce back out of the room, which is not good for the child. Do make sure there are less disturbing elements such as ipads, televisions, laptops, in your child’s bedroom. It is ideal for boys to sleep is in bedrooms in the east or north of the house while girls can sleep in the south or southeast or west bedrooms of the house. You can opt for curtains in the light shades for the child’s bedroom. Minimalism is the key, so make sure the child’s books is placed appropriately and all the clutter is banished time and again.

2. Energise his education:

No matter how we think, a child’s academic performance tops our mind time and again. As parents, how the child is performing in his studies is a major cause of concern for us. When we see the child is not excelling or performing to our expectations, we resort to shouting and yelling. However, this behaviour at your end will not bring in the desired results and will only turn worsen the said situation.

What you can do:

There is never dearth of options to rectify the energies and attract only the positive ones. You could try placing a crystal globe in the NorthEast corner of your child’s bedroom or in his study room. This will enhance his performance. You can place a notice board with red or a dark pink base on the wall in the East corner of the room. On this, you could stick all the important notes there. Make sure that each note on the board is efficiently clear and noticeable. For this, you can make use of several colours and shapes of the notes.

3. Stay closed to toilets and staircase:

When your child’s room faces a washroom or a staircase, the energies can have a negative affect on his psyche. He may become rebellious, have bouts of anger and become less enthusiastic in his school-related work. You may notice that your child is not adhering to what you tell him, making him a lot anxious.

What you can do:

To attract positive vibes, you can reposition his bed in a way that the child does not face the door of the bathroom while sleeping. Otherwise, the child will attract health-related problems and troubles to his life. You could hang a five or seven-belled wind chime outside the door of the bedroom. This is a wonderful option to remove the errors as this arrangement will help him fight against the negative energies.

What is visible to the child

Play heed to what your child gets to see every day. A happy photograph of your family hanging on a wall which is visible from your child’s bed will be comforting to your child’s eyes before he falls asleep and wakes up. This will constantly ensure him that he is the part of a happy family even when he is alone in the room. Avoid pictures or hangings of animals or horrifying masks.

5. The colour play

Your child’s sleeping habits will let you know whether his room is comfortable or not. If you keep finding your child coming to your room time and again to sleep with you, then it is enough a sign for you to know that his room is not a cherished place for him. Avoid using energising colours such as red and other bold, bright colours in the bedroom as they can cause tempers to flare up during playtime. Such colours also ensure too much hyperactive energy for the little one to fall asleep at night. Bright colours are good for playrooms and not the bedrooms; they need to be more subdued. Pastels are best. Creating a comfortable, harmonious bedroom makes for a good night’s rest. And a good night’s rest makes for a refreshed, healthy child.
